Okay, so, I’ve been following the Met Gala for a while, and this year I really wanted to dig into Taylor Russell’s look. It was her first time, and she’s been turning heads in the fashion world for some time now. So I thought, why not document how I went about checking out her debut?
First things first, I hopped online as soon as the event started. I was really eager to see what she’d wear. I knew she was going to be in Loewe because she’s like, their favorite girl right now.
Waiting for the first images
I kept refreshing my feeds, waiting to catch a glimpse of her outfit. And boom, there she was. The photos started popping up, and man, she looked amazing! She was wearing this custom Loewe wooden corset thing with a white skirt. Super unique, right?

- Checked out the designer: Of course, it was Loewe. I read up a bit more about the inspiration behind the look. It’s all about “The Garden of Time” this year, and I gotta say, the wooden corset really fits that theme.
- Looked at the makeup and hair: Her beauty look was on point too, like, really cool. I saw this quote from someone named Burton who mentioned how detailed everything was. Sounds like they had a blast getting ready.
- Scrolled through comments and reactions: I wasn’t the only one who thought she nailed it. Everyone was talking about how cool and different her outfit was.
Finding out when and where to watch
And because I wanted to see her on the red carpet, moving and all, I found out that the Met Gala was airing on E! from 3 p.m. PT to 6:30 p.m. PT. I also looked up ways to watch it online, and there were options like DirecTV, Fubo, and Hulu + Live TV.
It was a fun little project for the evening, following along and seeing all the buzz around Taylor Russell’s Met Gala debut. She definitely made a statement, and I’m glad I got to follow along in real time!
