Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with Sofia Richie’s style lately, especially her younger looks. I wanted to try and recreate some of that effortless, chic vibe she had going on. So, I started by diving deep into Pinterest and Instagram.

The Research Phase
I spent a good few hours just scrolling, saving pictures, and really trying to figure out the key elements of her style back then. It was all about simple pieces, neutral colors, and a touch of that “cool girl” attitude, you know?
- I noticed a lot of basic tees, denim shorts, and cute sneakers.
- She also rocked oversized sweaters and comfy-looking pants.
- Everything looked super relaxed but still put-together. That was the goal!
The Experiment
Next, I went through my own closet to see what I already had that could work. I found a few white tees, some denim shorts that were a bit worn-in (perfect!), and a pair of plain white sneakers. I also dug up an old, oversized grey sweater that I hadn’t worn in ages.
I started trying on different combinations. First, I paired the white tee with the denim shorts and sneakers. It was a good start, but it felt a little…plain. Then I tried the oversized sweater with some black leggings and the same sneakers. It was definitely closer to the vibe I was going for, more relaxed and casual.
I even attempted to recreate some of her hairstyles. I tried a messy bun, which… let’s just say it wasn’t my best look. Then I went for loose waves, which felt much more “Sofia.” I kept my makeup to a minimum, because that’s how she roll.
The Verdict
Overall, I think I got some key parts, not all of it, but enough. It was fun to step outside of my usual style and try something different. It’s all about those simple, classic pieces that you can mix and match. I really learned, I don’t need to do everything all at once. And I definitely realized how important it is to feel comfortable in what you’re wearing. That’s the real secret to pulling off any look, I think!
