Hey everyone, today I wanted to share a little project I’ve been messing around with: creating simple silhouettes. It’s surprisingly easy and the results can be pretty cool, so I figured I’d walk you through what I did.

Getting Started
First, I needed to find some images to work with. The main thing is to pick photos with subjects that have a clear, recognizable shape. I rummaged through my photo library and grabbed a few that I thought might work.
Using a Tool
Next, I remembered reading somewhere that you could use some website called Canva to remove backgrounds, so I headed over there. I uploaded one of my images and, sure enough, there was a tool called “Background Remover.” I clicked it, and it magically got rid of the background.
The Process
- Upload image to Canva.
- Find and click the “Background Remover” tool.
- Wait for the magic to happen.
Experimenting
Now, this is where it gets fun. I started playing around with different images. Some worked great right away, others needed a bit of tweaking. I found that images with good contrast between the subject and the background were much easier to work with. It took a bit of trial and error, but that’s part of the fun, right?
The Results
After a while, I had a bunch of cool silhouette images. I even tried layering a couple of them together to create some interesting effects. It was surprisingly easy once I got the hang of it. This is really a simple thing to do, but it looks fancy and is a blast to try. I think I will spend more time to do some more experiments with it. Hope you guys enjoy it.
