Shakira Bra Fashion: Recreate Her Hottest Looks (Easy Style Guide for Everyone)

Okay, so today I’m gonna talk about making this Shakira bra, and let me tell you, it was a journey. I saw this picture of Shakira in this awesome gold bra top, and I thought, “I gotta have that!” But of course, I couldn’t just buy one that looked exactly like it. So, I decided to make it myself.

First, I gathered all my materials. I needed some gold fabric, obviously, something that looked kind of like metal but was still comfy. I also got some bra cups from an old bra I didn’t wear anymore, some elastic, and a bunch of gold embellishments like beads and sequins. Oh, and my trusty sewing machine, of course.

I started by cutting out the fabric. This was tricky because I wanted it to be the right shape and size to cover the bra cups perfectly. I probably redid this a few times, not gonna lie. It took some trial and error to get it just right. Then I sewed the fabric onto the bra cups, which was also kind of a pain because the fabric was slippery.

  • Cut gold fabric to fit over bra cups.
  • Sew fabric onto cups, making sure it’s smooth and snug.
  • Attach elastic to the sides and back for the band.

Next, I worked on the band. I used some wide elastic and covered it with the same gold fabric. This part was easier, thank goodness. I attached the band to the bra cups and made sure it fit me well. I even added a little hook and eye closure in the back, just like a regular bra.

Now for the fun part: decorating! I spent hours sewing on beads and sequins, trying to copy Shakira’s design as close as possible. I used some reference photos I found online, which helped a lot. It was tedious, but seeing it all come together was so satisfying. I also added some gold chains and other dangly bits to make it extra fancy.

Almost Done

After many, many hours of work, I finally finished my Shakira bra. It wasn’t perfect, but I was super proud of it. I even wore it to a party once and got tons of compliments. It was definitely a conversation starter!

So, yeah, that’s the story of how I made my own Shakira bra. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it. If you’re thinking about doing something like this, I say go for it! Just be prepared to put in some serious time and effort. But hey, you’ll end up with something totally unique and awesome, and that’s pretty cool, right?
