Today I tried making a model of Sarah-Linh Tran. It seemed pretty straightforward, but there were a few things I needed to figure out along the way.

First, I gathered a bunch of pictures of Sarah. You know, the usual stuff – different angles, lighting, and all that. I dumped them all into a folder and started looking for patterns. Her eyes, nose, mouth shape – basically all the facial features that make her unique.

Preparation

Then, I got to work on the base model. I decided to use a generic female model as a starting point, since it already had the basic proportions down. I opened up my trusty 3D modeling software and imported the base model.

Modeling

  • Adjusted the jawline a bit to match Sarah’s. It’s a little more defined than the base model.
  • Worked on the eyes next. Sarah’s got these really expressive eyes, so I spent some time shaping the eyelids and the area around them.
  • Her nose is quite unique too. I made it a bit narrower and refined the tip to make it look more like hers.
  • The lips were tricky. I wanted to capture that slight pout she has, so I adjusted the curves and fullness until it looked right.

Refinement

After getting the major features down, I moved on to the smaller details. I added some subtle wrinkles and folds in the skin, especially around the eyes and mouth. This helped to make the model look more realistic.

Next up was the hair. I created a simple hairstyle that matched one of Sarah’s common looks. Nothing too fancy, just something that frames her face nicely.

Finally, I did some test renders to see how the model looked in different lighting conditions. I tweaked the materials and textures a bit to make sure everything looked natural.

All in all, it was a fun little project. It’s not perfect, but I think I managed to capture Sarah’s likeness pretty well. The whole process took me a few hours, but I’m happy with the result.
