Okay, so I was totally obsessed with Olivia Rodrigo’s red dress look. You know, the one! So, I decided I had to try and recreate it, or at least, get that vibe.

Operation: Find the Perfect Red Dress
First things first, I needed a red dress. Not just any red dress, mind you. It had to have that same kind of… I don’t know…cool-girl-meets-classic feel. So I started digging.
- First Stop: Online Shops. I spent, like, two hours scrolling through every online store I could think of. There were tons of red dresses, obviously, but most were either too fancy, too casual, or just…not the right red.
- Thrift Store Treasure Hunt. My next thought was thrifting! I hit up a couple of local vintage and consignment stores. This was actually super fun, even though I didn’t find the dress. I did find some cool other stuff, though!
- Back to the Internet…with a Twist. I realized I was being too general. I needed to be more specific with my searches! Instead of just “red dress,” I started trying things like “red slip dress,” “red midi dress,” and even “90s style red dress.”
And there you have the dress, I finally found the dress that looks similar with Olivia’s red dress.
Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize!
The dress was the main thing, but I also wanted to copy her accessories and looks, because I’ve noticed that Olivia’s look had some key elements:
- A pair of earrings, simple but cool.
- Simple makeup look to look fresh.
- Her Hair.
I grabbed a pair of earrings that I had bought, put on some simple makeup, and a ponytail that I can do with my hair.
The Final Result
It’s not an exact replica, obviously, but I’m actually pretty happy with how my look came out! I felt super confident, which is the whole point, right? I may not be a pop star, but I can still borrow a little bit of that style magic. Mission accomplished!
