My Celine Outfit Journey
Alright, so I got this bug in my ear about putting together a real Celine-ish look. Not like head-to-toe actual Celine, ’cause, you know, my bank account would laugh and then cry. But I wanted that vibe. That kinda cool, kinda don’t-care-but-actually-do look. You see it everywhere, that effortless chic thing.
First thing I did was just stand in front of my closet. Like, properly stare at it. What did I even have that could work? Pulled out my best pair of straight-leg jeans, the ones that just fit right, not too tight, not too baggy. Okay, base layer sorted. Then I grabbed a plain white t-shirt. Classic, can’t go wrong. But standing there, it felt… boring. Lacking something.
The Missing Piece
It needed structure, you know? That sharp edge. A blazer. Definitely needed a blazer. Not just any blazer, though. Needed that slightly oversized but still tailored feel. Checked my existing ones – nope, too stuffy, too work-like. This needed to be cooler.
So, the hunt began. Scrolled online for hours, saw tons of stuff. Some were crazy expensive designer pieces, others just looked cheap. Went to a few shops. Tried on maybe five or six blazers? One was too boxy, another felt flimsy. Almost gave up, honestly. Then, wandering through a consignment store – bam. Found this dark grey, almost black, wool blazer. Not Celine, tag said something else I didn’t recognize, but the cut was perfect. Shoulder pads weren’t huge, nice drape. Snagged it.
Putting It All Together
Got home, threw the new blazer on with the jeans and white tee. Better. Much better. But the white tee still felt a bit… bright? Swapped it for a simple black crew neck sweater I had. Yeah, that felt more right. More understated.
- Started with straight-leg jeans.
- Tried a white tee, then switched to a black sweater.
- Added the second-hand blazer I found.
- Now, shoes…
Shoes were the next hurdle. Sneakers felt too casual, heels too much. Pulled out my trusty black leather ankle boots. The ones with a slight block heel. Slipped them on. Okay, now we’re talking. This felt like an actual outfit.
Finishing Touches
Didn’t want to overdo it with accessories. Kept my usual simple silver chain. Added sunglasses – big black ones, essential for the vibe, I reckon. Grabbed my plain black leather shoulder bag, nothing flashy. Looked in the mirror. Yeah. That felt pretty close. Effortless but intentional.
Felt good stepping out in it. Confident. Like I’d cracked some kind of code, even though it was just clothes I mostly already had plus one lucky find. It’s funny how getting that silhouette right makes such a difference. Definitely gonna keep playing around with these pieces.
