Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with Lisa Rinna’s style lately, especially her iconic 80s looks. I decided to try and recreate some of that magic, and let me tell you, it was a journey!
Digging Through the Closet (and the Internet)
First, I started by raiding my own closet. I mean, who doesn’t have a few pieces that could, with a little imagination, scream “80s”? I found some high-waisted jeans, a couple of brightly colored tops, and even a pair of leg warmers I’d completely forgotten about. Score!
But, to really nail the Lisa Rinna vibe, I needed more. So, I hit the internet. I spent hours looking at old photos of her, trying to figure out the key elements of her style. Big hair, obviously. Bold makeup. And a whole lot of attitude.
The Hair. Oh, the Hair.
- The biggest challenge was definitely the hair. I don’t naturally have that kind of volume, so I knew I needed some serious help.
- I bought a teasing comb, a can of super-hold hairspray, and watched a bunch of YouTube tutorials.
- It took a few tries (and a lot of hairspray), but I finally managed to get some decent lift. It wasn’t exactly Lisa Rinna-level, but it was a good start.
Makeup Mayhem
Next up: makeup. I’m not usually one for heavy makeup, but I knew I had to go all out for this. I dug out my brightest eyeshadows, a bold red lipstick, and some serious blush. I followed some 80s makeup tutorials, and honestly, it was so much fun! I felt like I was transforming into a different person.
Putting It All Together
Finally, it was time to put it all together. I paired my high-waisted jeans with a bright pink off-the-shoulder top, added the leg warmers, and threw on some chunky jewelry. I teased my hair one last time, applied another layer of hairspray, and smiled at my reflection. I may not have been a perfect Lisa Rinna replica, but I definitely felt like I’d captured some of her 80s energy. It was so fun!
This experiment helped a lot me to understand how to find the feeling of 80s Lisa Rinna.
