Okay, so I saw all the buzz about Kylie Jenner’s look at the 2024 Golden Globes, and I just had to try and recreate it. I mean, that dress! The whole vibe! I’m no celebrity stylist, but I figured, why not give it a shot?

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to gather some intel. I spent a good hour just scrolling through pictures and videos of her on the red carpet. I zoomed in on every detail I could find – the dress, the hair, the makeup, everything.
The Dress Hunt
Obviously, I don’t have access to designer gowns, so finding a similar dress was the biggest challenge. I started by searching online, looking at various stores. After a while, I started to look at some fast fashion sites, I needed something with a similar shape and, that sheer, sparkly vibe.
Makeup Mayhem
Next up, the makeup. This seemed a little more achievable. I already have a ton of makeup (maybe too much, whoops!). I focused on getting that bronzed, glowy look she had.
- Base: I started with a good primer, then used a foundation that gives me decent coverage but still looks natural.
- Contour: I went a little heavier than usual with the bronzer, really sculpting my cheekbones and jawline. I used a cream bronzer first, then set it with a powder bronzer to make it last.
- Highlight: Gotta have that glow! I used a liquid highlighter on the high points of my face – cheekbones, brow bone, cupid’s bow. Then, I added a touch of powder highlighter on top for extra shimmer.
- Eyes: It looked like Kylie had a pretty simple eye look – a soft, shimmery champagne color on the lid and some definition in the crease. I used a few different eyeshadows to get a similar effect. Lots of mascara, of course!
- Lips: She had a glossy, nude lip. I lined my lips with a nude lip liner, then filled them in with a similar color. I topped it off with a clear gloss for that extra shine.
Hair-Do (or Don’t)
The hair was the trickiest part for me. Kylie had this sleek, elegant updo. My hair is… not that. It’s long and kinda wavy. I watched a few YouTube tutorials on how to create a similar style. I straightened my hair first, then tried to twist and pin it into a low bun. It took a few tries (and a lot of bobby pins!), but I eventually got it to a point where I was * is not easy to do, but I finally made it!
The Final Look
Putting it all together was the fun part! I put on the dress, did a final check of my makeup and *, I felt surprisingly… glamorous! It’s amazing how much you can transform your look with a little effort (and a lot of inspiration). It has been a challenge and long project, but at last, the final effect showed on me, it worths!

It was a fun experiment! Would I wear this look out to the grocery store? Probably not. But it was definitely a confidence booster, and it made me appreciate the artistry that goes into these red carpet looks.
