Zendaya and that new movie, what’s it called, “Challengers”? Yeah, that one. Everybody’s talkin’ ’bout it, sayin’ it’s real steamy, you know? Like, hot stuff. But then them actors, they sayin’ there ain’t no real sex scenes. Go figure. I tell ya, these young folks, they make things complicated.
So, this Zendaya girl, she plays a tennis whiz. Real good at hittin’ that ball, I guess. And these two fellas, Art and Patrick somethin’-or-other, they’re all tangled up with her. Seems like there’s a lot of goin’s on, if you catch my drift. Lots of whispers and lookin’ at each other all funny.
- They sayin’ it’s “erotically charged,” whatever that means.
- Sounds like a whole lotta fuss about nothin’ to me.
- But hey, what do I know? I’m just an old woman.
This director fella, Luca somebody, he made that movie “Bones and All,” which I ain’t seen, thank you very much. Too much blood and whatnot for my taste. But this “Challengers” movie, it’s supposed to be different. More about the tension, they say. Like, you know, when you’re waitin’ for the kettle to boil, and it’s just hummin’ and hummin’? That kinda thing.
Zendaya, she says it’s “incredibly sexy” even without showin’ everything. Now, that’s somethin’ ain’t it? Reminds me of them old movies, where they just looked at each other real hard and you knew somethin’ was up. No need for all the jumpin’ around and whatnot. These days, they show too much, if you ask me.
And this three-way thing they keep talkin’ about… Well, one of them actors, Josh somethin’, he says it was the “least sexy thing” he ever did. Imagine that! All that huffin’ and puffin’, and nothin’ to show for it. Sounds like a waste of time to me.
But I guess that’s the point, see? It’s all about the suggestion of sex, not the actual doin’ it. Like when you smell somethin’ good cookin’ but you can’t see it yet. Your mouth waters, right? That’s what they’re goin’ for, I reckon.
Zendaya also said she got lucky workin’ with them other actors. Said they were real nice and all that. Well, that’s good, I always say. Bein’ nice don’t cost nothin’, and it makes things easier for everyone. Nobody wants to work with a grump, that’s for sure.
So, is this movie any good? I dunno. Folks are sayin’ it’s different, that it makes you think about sex instead of just showin’ it to ya. Maybe that’s a good thing, maybe it ain’t. But it sure got people talkin’, didn’t it? And that’s half the battle these days, gettin’ people to pay attention.
I reckon I’ll just stick to my stories on the TV. At least there, you know what you’re gettin’. No fancy talk about “erotic tension” and “sexual undercurrents.” Just good old-fashioned drama, with maybe a little romance thrown in for good measure. That’s all a body needs, really.
But hey, if you’re into all that “artistic” stuff, then go ahead and see this “Challengers” movie. Just don’t expect to see anythin’ too scandalous, from what I hear. It’s all in your head, they say. Which, I guess, is where a lot of things happen anyway, right?
This whole thing about Zendaya and sex scenes, it just goes to show ya, people will talk about anything. And the more you say somethin’ ain’t there, the more people wanna see it for themselves. Human nature, I suppose. Always curious, always lookin’ for somethin’ to gossip about. Well, let ’em talk. I got better things to do with my time, like feedin’ the chickens and makin’ sure the garden ain’t overrun with weeds.
