So today I jumped on the Fendi Pokémon collab hype train after spotting that teaser last Thursday. Grabbed my nasty office coffee, fired up Instagram cause that’s where Fendi always drops first, right? Took three tries to load their page properly cause their servers kept choking. Finally saw the promo vid with Pikachu wearing the baggy Fendi scarf looking like some rich uncle vacationing in Capri.

The Good Stuff You Actually See
Scrolled past like twenty influencers reposting the same damn screenshot before spotting the real designs. Holy hell they put Fendi logos everywhere – like Charizard tail flames made of FFs? And those Eevee jackets with fur collar that probably costs more than my car payment? The Pokémon Center London pics leaked early, but here’s the crazy stuff:
- Pikachu belt bags with yellow leather flapping like mouse ears – actually wearable if you’re into looking like a walking cartoon
- Black B-Side totes with Charizard screen prints – kinda fire except Charizard looks high AF
- Peekaboo handbags with Jigglypuff embroidery – cute until you see the price tag
What Went Sideways
Spilled coffee trying to screenshot the damn Squirtle bucket hat – website kept crashing every five minutes. Then Twitter started going bananas about “exclusive drops” except all links just looped back to Fendi’s broken landing page. Asked my buddy who does streetwear resale how much he’d pay for that Lucario hoodie if I somehow copped it. Dude just laughed and said “less than retail cause the zippers look cheap.” Brutal.
Checked YouTube reviews later and felt vindicated seeing people bitch about the same stuff – thin fabric on the tees, wonky stitching on the Pokémon patches. Like they rushed this collab to hit Christmas season? The Eeveelutions scarves are genuinely dope though. My final take: unless you’re rolling in cash or really need Pikachu on your backpack zipper pull, just wait for the knockoffs on Ebay in February. Collab culture keeps getting wilder but my wallet’s screaming mercy.
