Alright, alright, let me tell ya ’bout these Hollywood women, the ones they call “ELLE Women in Hollywood.” Don’t know much ’bout this “ELLE” thing, sounds fancy, like somethin’ the city folk read. But these women, they seem like a big deal, ya know?
I saw some pictures, all dolled up they were. Shiny dresses, sparkly suits, the whole shebang. One of ’em, Selena Gomez, she was wearin’ somethin’ that glittered like a fish scale in the sun. Pretty, I guess, if you like that kinda thing. Me, I prefer a good sturdy pair of overalls, but hey, to each their own, right?

They had this big party, a “celebration” they called it, in Los Angeles. Fancy hotel, Four Seasons, somethin’ like that. Must’ve cost a pretty penny. I reckon they ate good, too. Probably not like my fried chicken and mashed potatoes, though. Their food’s probably got names you can’t even pronounce.
This “ELLE” magazine, they say it’s the top fashion magazine in the whole world. Fashion, huh? That’s clothes, right? And style, they say. Style’s more than just clothes, though, ain’t it? It’s how you carry yourself, how you talk, how you treat folks. These Hollywood women, they got their own kinda style, I guess. Flashy, that’s what it is.
They talk about travel, music, art, cars… all sorts of things. Sounds like they got busy lives. Me, I’m happy with my chickens and my garden. But it’s good they’re doin’ somethin’ they enjoy, I suppose. Everyone’s gotta find their own way in this world.
They had a reunion, too, these actresses. “Now and Then,” they called it. Must be a movie or somethin’. I ain’t seen it. Don’t watch much TV, too busy with chores and such. But these women, they seem to like gettin’ together, sharin’ stories, and havin’ a good time. Nothin’ wrong with that.
This magazine, it started way back in the 80s, they say. That’s a long time ago. Things were different then, I bet. Fashion was different, too. Probably not as much glitter and sparkle back then. But women, they’ve always been strong, no matter what decade it is. These Hollywood women, they’re strong in their own way, I figure.
They got their awards and their fancy parties, and that’s fine. But what really matters is bein’ a good person, workin’ hard, and treatin’ others with respect. That’s what I always say. Don’t matter if you’re a Hollywood star or a farmer’s wife, kindness goes a long way.
So, that’s what I know ’bout these “ELLE Women in Hollywood.” They’re famous, they’re stylish, and they got a lot of attention. Good for them, I say. Me, I’m gonna go feed my chickens now. They’re probably wonderin’ where I am.
