Alright, buckle up, ’cause I’m about to spill the tea on my “pop girlies” project. It was a wild ride, let me tell ya!

It all started with a random thought, ya know? I was listening to some bangers, and I was like, “I gotta visualize this.” So, I fired up my laptop, cracked my knuckles, and dove right in.
First, I needed inspo. I spent like, a solid hour just scrolling through Pinterest and Instagram, saving anything that screamed “pop.” Think bright colors, glitter, funky fonts, the works. I wanted to capture that high-energy, unapologetically fun vibe.
Next up: the actual design. I started with a blank canvas. I played around with different color palettes. I ended up going with a mix of hot pink, electric blue, and sunshine yellow – totally in your face, but somehow it worked. I wanted it loud. Like super loud!
Then came the fonts. Oh man, the fonts! I must have tried, like, fifty different fonts before I found the perfect combo. I wanted something that felt both modern and retro, so I settled on a bold sans-serif for the main text and a playful script for the accents.
I started adding graphics, like starbursts, lightning bolts, and little doodles. I even threw in some pics I snapped while out and about, using some cool editing apps to give them that pop art kind of feel.

But the real magic happened when I started animating things. I added some subtle movement to the background, made the text pulse to the music, and even created a little animated character that danced across the screen. It was so addictive, I didn’t realize the time pass.
Of course, there were some bumps along the road. I spent way too long trying to get the color gradients just right. I also had a minor meltdown when I accidentally deleted a whole layer of my design. (Lesson learned: always save your work!).
But after a couple of days of tweaking and fine-tuning, I finally had my finished product. It was bold, it was bright, and it was totally over the top – exactly what I was going for. I shared it on my socials, and the response was amazing. People were loving the energy and the creativity.
So yeah, that’s the story of my “pop girlies” project. It was a fun, chaotic, and ultimately rewarding experience. And who knows, maybe it’ll inspire you to create something awesome too!
- Tools I used: Adobe Photoshop, Procreate, my trusty iPad
- Biggest challenge: Resisting the urge to add even more glitter
- Best part: Seeing people’s reactions to the finished product
Lessons Learned
- Trust your gut – if something feels right, go with it.
- Don’t be afraid to experiment and try new things.
- Most importantly, have fun!
