Hair Color With Bangs: Whats Hot and Whats Not

Hair Color With Bangs: Whats Hot and Whats Not

So, I’ve been itching for a change lately, and what better way to shake things up than with a new hair color and some bangs? I mean, who doesn’t love a good hair transformation, right? I decided to document my whole journey from start to finish, and let me tell you, it was quite the ride.

Hair Color With Bangs: Whats Hot and Whats Not

First things first, I had to figure out what kind of bangs I wanted. I spent hours scrolling through Pinterest and Instagram, saving every picture of models with all those cute bangs. Curtain bangs, side-swept bangs, blunt bangs – you name it, I considered it. There are just so many styles out there! It’s like a never-ending buffet of fringe.

After much debate (and a very helpful four-question test I found online, haha), I finally settled on curtain bangs. I thought they would frame my face nicely and add that touch of effortless chic I was going for. That test was a lifesaver, by the way. It really helped me figure out if bangs were even right for me.

Next up was the color. This was another tough decision. Did I want to go bold and try something completely different? Or should I stick to something more natural and subtle? It’s not like there is a one-size-fits-all way.

I ended up choosing a warm-toned color. I heard that warm tones tend to look more youthful. I was torn between a spicy copper red and a rich caramel brown. But in the end, I went with the caramel brown with some subtle highlights. I figured it would be a nice change without being too drastic. Also, I was thinking the highlights could enhance the bangs.

With the style and color decided, it was time to actually do the thing! Here is how it all went down:

Hair Color With Bangs: Whats Hot and Whats Not
  • I booked an appointment with my trusted hairstylist. She’s a magician with scissors and color, so I knew I was in good hands.
  • We had a consultation. We talked about the style I wanted, the color I picked, and how to make sure everything looked good together. She gave me some great tips and we decided to go a bit lighter with the highlights than I had originally planned.
  • She started with the cut. Watching her snip away was a little nerve-wracking, but also super exciting. Seeing those curtain bangs take shape was like watching a dream come true.
  • Then came the color. She carefully applied the caramel brown and added those beautiful, subtle highlights. The whole process took a while, but it was so worth it.
  • Finally, the styling. She blow-dried my hair, styled the bangs, and showed me how to maintain the look at home.

The big reveal

When I saw the final result, I was thrilled! The curtain bangs perfectly framed my face, and the caramel brown with highlights added so much dimension and warmth. It was exactly the change I was looking for. It was not a full dye but the highlights really enhanced the bangs.

This whole experience taught me that sometimes, a little change is all you need to feel refreshed and renewed. I’m so happy I took the plunge and tried something new. If you’re thinking about getting bangs or changing your hair color, I say go for it! Just make sure to do your research, find a stylist you trust, and have fun with it.
