Alright, so, this Doja Cat at the Grammys, right? Heard a whole bunch of hullabaloo about it. Grammys, they’re a big deal, I guess. Like a town fair but with fancy clothes and singing instead of prize-winning pigs.
Doja Cat, she was there, all dolled up. They said she was up for three of them awards. Three! That’s like havin’ three blue ribbons at the county fair, only fancier. They had a whole bunch of categories, like, 94 of ‘em. Can you believe that? 94! What in the tarnation are they givin’ out awards for? Best cow milking? Best pie baking? Heh, just kiddin’.
They were sayin’ somethin’ about her dress bein’ peach-colored and see-through. Now, I ain’t no fashion expert, but peach, that’s a nice color. Reminds me of them ripe peaches we used to have back on the farm. But see-through? Well, I reckon that’s for the young folks. Us old hens, we like things a bit more…covered up, you know?
- They had all sorts of singers there. Miley Cyrus, she was there. Singin’ about flowers, they said. Flowers are nice. I like flowers.
- And Billie Eilish, she was singin’ too. Somethin’ about what she was made for. Heck, I don’t know what I was made for half the time, let alone her!
- And SZA, she was singin’ too. Folks say she put on a real sizzlin’ performance. Sizzlin’ like bacon on a hot skillet, I bet.
They had some fella named Trevor Noah hostin’ the whole shebang. He’s a funny one, that Trevor. Keeps things lively. You need a good host at them big events, keeps folks from fallin’ asleep. Nothin’ worse than a snoozefest at a party.
Now, they were sayin’ some folks got “snubbed.” That’s what they call it when you don’t win nothin’. Like that Dua Lipa gal. She didn’t win nothin’. And that Hozier fella and Jack Antonoff, neither did they. Well, I say, you can’t win ‘em all. Sometimes you’re the rooster, sometimes you’re the feather duster.
Taylor Swift, she was there too. That girl’s always winnin’ somethin’. Got nominated for six awards, they said. Six! She must have a whole room just for them trophies. And one of her songs, “Fortnight” with that Post Malone fella, was up for Best Music Video. I ain’t seen it, but I bet it’s fancy.
They also said somethin’ about Doja Cat huggin’ Bebe Rexha on stage. Well, that’s nice. Folks bein’ friendly. That’s what the world needs more of, I reckon. Less fightin’ and more huggin’. Though, truth be told, I ain’t much of a hugger myself. A good handshake is good enough for me.
So, that’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell. The Grammys, they’re a big to-do. Lots of singin’, lots of fancy clothes, and lots of awards. And Doja Cat, she was right there in the thick of it. Good for her, I say. She’s a hard worker, that one. Always singin’ and dancin’. Reminds me a bit of myself when I was younger… Course, I was dancin’ in the barn, not on no fancy stage. But a dance is a dance, no matter where you do it.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about it. Them city folks and their fancy ways, always somethin’ new to talk about.
