Okay, so I’ve been digging into Joshua Bassett’s work lately, and I wanted to share my little journey of discovery. You know, just casually going through what he’s been up to in the acting world. It’s kind of interesting when you start listing it all out.
First off, I started with the obvious, like everyone else – High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. I mean, that’s where most of us got to know him, right? He plays Ricky Bowen, and honestly, the whole series is pretty addictive. I found myself binge-watching it way more than I expected. It’s one of those shows where you think you’ll just watch one episode, and then suddenly it’s 3 AM.
Then, I went back a bit and found Stuck in the Middle. He’s in it as Aidan Peters. It was fun to see him in a different kind of role, not all singing and dancing. The show’s a family comedy, so it’s totally different from High School Musical, but still, you get to see another side of him.
After that, I tried to search for some movies, but it’s not like he’s been in a ton of those yet. However, I did watch Better Nate Than Ever, where he plays Anthony Foster. It’s a sweet movie, and his role is quite significant. I watched it on a lazy Sunday afternoon, and it was perfect for that kind of vibe – you know, just chilling and enjoying a lighthearted film.
And then there’s this animated movie, Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again. He voices Nick Daley. I didn’t even know he did voice acting until I stumbled upon this. I watched it more out of curiosity, and it was cool to hear his voice in a cartoon. It’s kind of funny to think of him as an animated character.
I also read somewhere that he’s been going through some personal stuff and some health scares, like being diagnosed with septic shock. It’s a bit wild to think about how much someone can go through while also being in the public eye. I mean, he was talking about sleeping for like 16 to 20 hours a day and not being able to stand for long. That’s intense, right?
He seems to be doing a lot of different things. I even read that booking him for an event could cost a fortune, something like $75,000 to $149,999. That’s way out of my league, obviously, but it’s interesting to know. Also, I saw that he came out as queer in 2021 and has been talking about his faith. It’s cool to see him being open about who he is.

Here’s a quick rundown of what I watched:
So, that’s my little adventure through Joshua Bassett’s filmography. It’s not super extensive, but it’s a good mix of TV and movies, and it was fun to explore his work. If you’re into musicals or just looking for something light to watch, you might enjoy checking some of these out. And hey, if you’ve seen anything else he’s in, let me know! I’m always up for watching something new.
