Okay, here’s my blog post about my day as an “environmental warrior”:

So, I’ve been trying to be a bit more, you know, green. It all started when I saw this documentary about plastic in the ocean, and, man, it messed me up. I decided I needed to do something, even if it was just small stuff.
My Little Green Routine
It all began this morning. Usually, I just grab a coffee in a disposable cup, but today, I remembered my reusable one! Felt pretty good, not gonna lie. I even walked to the coffee shop instead of driving. Baby steps, right?
Next up was groceries. I always forget my reusable bags, ending up with a mountain of plastic. But today? I remembered those, too! I even tried to buy stuff with less packaging. It’s harder than it looks! So much plastic everywhere.
- Brought my reusable coffee cup.
- Walked instead of driving (short distances, at least!).
- Used reusable grocery bags.
- Attempt to minimize single used plastic.
- Recycled everything I could.
Later, I spent some time picking up trash in the park near my house. It wasn’t glamorous, and honestly, it was kinda gross. But seeing the park a little cleaner afterward? Yeah, that felt pretty rewarding.
It’s not like I’m saving the world single-handedly or anything. But it’s something. And maybe, if everyone did a few small things, it would actually make a difference. I’m going to keep trying, that’s for sure. Maybe tomorrow I’ll even try composting… we’ll see!
