Elle Fannings Balmain Fashion: See the Photos Everyones Talking About! (She Looks Absolutely Incredible)

Elle Fannings Balmain Fashion: See the Photos Everyones Talking About! (She Looks Absolutely Incredible)

Okay, so, I tried out something new this time. I was scrolling through Instagram, you know, just doing my usual thing, and I saw Elle Fanning in this Balmain dress at the Met Gala.

And I was like, “Wow, that’s… different.” It was all, like, glassy and see-through, made her look like she was frozen in a block of ice or something. So, I got this wild idea to recreate it. Sounds crazy, right?

First, I had to figure out what the heck this dress was even made of. It looked like glass, but obviously, it wasn’t. I spent hours looking up stuff about Balmain and their designs. They’re all about using really wild materials and making clothes look like sculptures. I went down this whole rabbit hole reading about Balmain. Finally, I figured they probably used some kind of clear resin or plastic to get that icy effect.

My Take on the Look

Next, I had to find something similar. I searched my entire house and found a clear plastic from some old packaging. It was not really the same material, but it will do.

Then came the hard part – actually making the dress. I’ve never done anything like this before. I started by trying to shape the plastic around my body, you know, like how they do with fabric. But this stuff was not having it. It was way too stiff. I tried to imitate the flower off the neckline.

I ended up using a hair dryer to heat it up and make it a little more flexible. Even then, it was a struggle. I burned my fingers a couple of times. After a lot of trial and error, I managed to get it into a somewhat dress-like shape.

It didn’t look exactly like Elle’s dress, not even close. But hey, I gave it my best shot. It was definitely an experience. I don’t think I’ll be quitting my day job to become a fashion designer anytime soon. But it was fun to try something totally out of my comfort zone. And who knows, maybe I’ll try another one of these crazy fashion experiments in the future. We’ll see.

  • The struggle was real.
  • Learned a lot about Balmain.
  • Maybe I should stick to writing.

But you know, it’s all about having fun and trying new things, right? Even if they don’t turn out perfect, it’s the process that counts. And I definitely learned a lot through this little project. I might not have a fancy Balmain dress to show for it, but I’ve got a good story and a newfound appreciation for how hard it is to work with those materials.
