Alright, so I’ve got these designer shoes, right? Super fancy, cost me an arm and a leg. But honestly, they’re just sitting in my closet, gathering dust. I figured, why not try to sell them and make some of that money back? So, I started this little project to figure out how to do just that.

First off, I had to dig those shoes out. Found them tucked away in the back, still in their original boxes, which is a good sign. Then, I gave them a good once-over. Checked for scuffs, made sure the soles weren’t worn down to nothing, you know, the usual stuff.
Next, I snapped some pictures. I tried to do this whole “lifestyle” thing, you know where they have a white background and take it from multiple angles. It’s not my forte, but I think they turned out alright. Then I wrote out some descriptions. I just put down the brand, the size, the material, all the basic information. No need to get all fancy with it.
Now, where to sell these bad boys? That was the big question. I did a bit of digging online, and man, there are tons of places!
- eBay seemed like the obvious choice. Everyone’s heard of it, and it’s got a huge reach.
- Poshmark kept popping up too. Apparently, it’s the place to be for fashion stuff.
- I even checked out some fancy sites like The RealReal and Vestiaire Collective. These places authenticate the items, so that’s good for luxury brands like mine.
After weighing my options, I decided to list them on Poshmark first. Seems like a good place for clothes and shoes, and I liked that they handle the shipping for you. I uploaded my photos, copied over the descriptions I wrote, and set a price. I tried to be reasonable, I knocked off like 50% of the price I paid. We’ll see if anyone bites.
Honestly, the whole process was easier than I thought. It took a little bit of time to research the different platforms, but once I got going, it was pretty smooth sailing. I just posted them, so now it’s just a waiting game. Fingers crossed someone snags them! I’ll update you guys if I make a sale. Wish me luck!
