Okay, so today I decided to dive into something completely new – learning about this chef, Choi Hyun-seok. I’d seen some clips of him online, and he seemed pretty intense, so I figured, why not?
First, I scoured the internet for any basic info. You know, the usual Wikipedia deep dive, some news articles, anything to get a general feel for who this guy is.
Getting Started
I wanted to get a sense of what he’s known for. I found out he’s a pretty big deal in South Korea, known for his molecular gastronomy and, let me tell you, some seriously impressive knife skills.
The Deep Dive
- I spent a good hour just watching videos. YouTube is a goldmine, seriously. There were clips of him on cooking shows, documentaries, even some funny behind-the-scenes stuff.
- I tried to find some of his recipes, but honestly, a lot of them were in Korean. Google Translate became my best friend!
- I even attempted to recreate one of his simpler dishes – a pasta dish with a really unique sauce. It wasn’t perfect, but hey, I gave it a shot!
My impressions
After my little research session, I was exhausted.
This is my record of the whole process, and I will continue to update the relevant content of “choi hyun-seok” in the follow-up.
