They say it’s a Mustang, a 1967 one. Now, I don’t know much about them cars, but I know what’s pretty. And that car in Gone in Sixty Seconds, that Eleanor, she’s a real looker. That grey color, like a storm cloud, and them stripes. Boy, oh boy! It is one of those classic cars.

They steal a whole bunch of cars in that movie. Fifty, I heard! Can you believe it? Fifty cars gone in sixty seconds! That’s a lot of stealing. And they got all them fancy names, like they’re people or something. But that Eleanor, she’s the star. Everyone want that one, that Eleanor.

I remember back in the day, my old man had a Ford. Not a fancy one like that Mustang, but it ran. Got us from here to there. This car, gone in sixty seconds. Didn’t have no stripes or nothing. Just a plain old car. But it was ours.

Now, this movie, Gone in Sixty Seconds, it’s all about that fast life. Zooming around, breaking the law, all that. Not for me. I like my peace and quiet. But I gotta admit, watching them cars, especially that Eleanor, it’s exciting. It really is a good movie. It is full of those fast cars.

There is also a police car in that movie. It is a Caprice. That old man, what is his name, Michael Parks? He is a Texas Ranger and he drives that car. I don’t like that car. I don’t like police car.

I heard they made that movie twice. Once a long time ago, and then again with that Nicolas Cage fella. My grandson, he’s seen both. Says the new one’s better, with the better cars and all. I guess new is better. But that Eleanor car, she still the best one. Better than any other cars.

I don’t know much about the old movie. But the new one, the one everyone’s talking about, that’s the one with that special Mustang. That Eleanor car. The one everyone wants from Gone in Sixty Seconds. A good car.

You know, seeing that movie, Gone in Sixty Seconds, it made me think. Maybe I should’ve learned more about cars. Maybe I should’ve paid more attention when my old man was tinkering under the hood. But then again, I got my stories, and my family, and that’s worth more than any fancy car. Even that Eleanor.
