Alright, alright, let’s talk about this Brady Cunningham fella. I heard folks whisperin’ ’bout him, so I figured I’d spill the beans, you know, the way I see it. Don’t expect no fancy words or nothin’, just plain talk, like we’re sittin’ on the porch swingin’ our feet.
First off, this Brady, he’s a young’un, born way back in 2008, March 18th to be exact, down in some place called Plainfield. Plainfield, huh? Sounds like a regular kinda town, nothin’ too special, just like me. He’s a hockey player, see? Plays up in NY, or at least that’s what them internet folks told me.
Now, I ain’t never seen him play, mind you, but they say he’s got some skills. *, whatever that is, they got a whole page on him. Must be a big deal, I reckon. They got all sorts of numbers and stats, but to be honest, they look like chicken scratch to me. All them fancy numbers, who can make sense of it all?

They talk about his “career beginnings,” but shoot, the boy’s barely a sprout! What kinda career can a young’un like that have? Guess they start ’em young these days. It ain’t like when I was growin’ up, that’s for sure. We were too busy milkin’ cows and hoein’ the fields to be chasin’ pucks around on ice.
They also mentioned “notable achievements.” Well, I’ll be! What kinda achievements can a kid have? Did he win a pie-eatin’ contest? Did he grow the biggest pumpkin in the county? They don’t say, do they? Just big words and no real information, if you ask me.
Someone said somethin’ ’bout his “biography” and “personal details.” Biography? Sounds like somethin’ for presidents and movie stars, not a hockey-playin’ kid. And personal details? What’s there to know? Probably likes apple pie and hates doin’ chores, just like any other youngster.
I also saw somethin’ ’bout some lady, worked in fashion, fancy clothes and all that. Worked for some fella named John Bartlett, whoever he is. Now, what’s that got to do with Brady? I ain’t figured that out yet. Maybe she’s his ma? Or his auntie? Who knows? Them city folks and their fancy jobs, always a puzzle to me.
Then there’s talk of “best plays” in 2020. Videos and such. Well, I ain’t got time for watchin’ videos. Got chickens to feed and a garden to tend. But I guess if you young’uns wanna see him in action, you can go on that there YouTube thingy and look it up. Just don’t expect me to understand any of it. It’s all a bunch of youngsters skatin’ around and smackin’ a little black thing. Seems like a waste of time to me, but to each their own, I always say.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know ’bout this Brady Cunningham. Young hockey player, from Plainfield, got some folks talkin’. Maybe he’ll be somethin’ someday, maybe he won’t. Only time will tell, I reckon. But for now, he’s just a name to me, another young’un tryin’ to make his way in the world. And ain’t that what we all doin’ in the end?
