Why I Tried the Blush Trend
Okay, so I saw everyone talking about this whole blush thing for 2023, especially for newbies like me. I thought, “Man, how hard could it be?” I mean, I’m not some expert or anything, just a regular gal wanting to look a bit fresher. But wow, I didn’t expect it to be such a mess at first. Anyways, I grabbed my phone and started poking around for cheap stuff that wouldn’t break the bank.
What I Did First
I hopped online and looked for blush stuff that’s easy to find. Ended up picking a cheap powder blush from a store down the street—nothing fancy, just a basic pink one. Then, I thought, “Why not give it a go before work?” So, I pulled out my mirror and dabbed a bit on my cheeks with my finger. Simple, right? But it looked all patchy and weird, like I smeared food on my face. That made me feel kinda silly, so I tried again with a small brush I had lying around. Still messy, though. Ugh, frustrating!
The Messy Practice Part
Next day, I decided to take it slow and watch how others do it online—no fancy videos, just quick clips. I learned that less is more. So, I grabbed my brush, tapped it lightly into the blush, and brushed it upwards on my cheeks. First few tries were awful: too much color on one side, barely any on the other. I felt like a total clown! But I kept going, wiped off the mess, and reapplied with softer strokes. Took like, what, three or four tries to not look ridiculous? Yeah, that’s when it started to sort of work. It wasn’t perfect, but at least my face didn’t scream “rookie mistake” anymore.
How It Turned Out in the End
After a week of messing around, I finally got the hang of it. I’d say:
- Do it light—seriously, start small or you’ll look crazy.
- Use tools if you have them, like a cheap brush, to spread it out better.
- Build it up slow, don’t rush or you’ll regret it like I did.
Overall, it brightened up my face without making me feel like a makeup disaster. I even got a thumbs-up from my friend at the coffee shop. Not bad for a beginner, I guess? If I can do it, anyone can—just don’t stress too much. Keep it simple, you know?
