Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with Blackpink’s style lately. I mean, who isn’t? Their outfits are always so cool and edgy, but still kind of wearable, you know? So, I decided to try and recreate some of their iconic looks using stuff I already had in my closet, and, well, a few new purchases, I can’t lie.

First, I scoured the internet for inspiration. I’m talking hours of scrolling through Pinterest, Instagram, and fan accounts. I wanted to find outfits that I could realistically put together, not like, crazy stage costumes or anything.
My Recreation Process
- Jennie’s “Solo” Look: I love that red dress she wears. It’s hot. So, I found a similar-ish red dress I had from, I am embarassed, an old prom, and, the color matches the vibe.
- Lisa’s “Lalisa” Vibe: That gold outfit is everthing. For this, I went with some gold sparkly pants and a black crop top. It didn’t have the exact same details, but I threw on a chunky gold necklace and some big hoop earrings, and it felt pretty Lisa-esque.
- Rosé’s “On The Ground” Style: I wanted something flowy and pretty. I remembered a white maxi dress I’d bought and it works, a little plain maybe, but I added a denim jacket and some boots, and it gave it that Rosé touch.
- Jisoo’s “Lovesick Girls” Look: That preppy, slightly edgy style? Yes, please. I took my favorite black pleated skirt, paired it with a white button-down shirt. I felt like it was missing something, so I dug out my old black combat boots and a cute beret.
It was actually super fun to dig through my closet and see what I could come up with. I definitely realized I need more statement pieces, though. Like, where do they find all those amazing jackets and accessories?!
Anyway, I took a bunch of pictures, playing around, and even tried to copy some of their poses (which was harder than it looks, let me tell you!). It wasn’t perfect, obviously, but it was a fun way to channel my inner Blackpink. And hey, it gave me some new outfit ideas for when I actually want to, you know, leave the house.
I learned that you don’t need the exact same clothes to capture the essence of someone’s style. It’s more about the overall vibe and how you put things together. And, most importantly, having fun with it! Now, excuse me while I go practice my “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” dance moves…
