Okay, so, I got this idea to recreate some of those iconic Bella Hadid looks, you know, the ones where she’s practically wearing nothing, haha. It’s like, how does she pull that off and still look so classy, right? I was curious, so I decided to try it myself.
First, I scrolled through a ton of photos online. I mean, Bella’s got so many of these, from red carpets to just casual shots. I picked out a few that I thought I could maybe do, like that one at the Jacquemus shoot. That’s, like, totally iconic now.
Getting Ready
I cleared out my living room to make some space, because, you know, you need good lighting and a decent backdrop. No way was this happening in my tiny bathroom! Then I set up my phone on a tripod, connected it to a remote shutter, all that jazz.
- Set up the tripod and camera.
- Cleared the space.
- Got the remote ready.
The “Outfits”
This was the tricky part. I didn’t have any sheer gowns just lying around. So I got creative. I used some fabric scraps I had, draped them strategically, you know? It’s all about the illusion, right?
- Used fabric scraps.
- Draped and pinned strategically.
The Shoot
I started posing, trying to channel my inner Bella. It’s harder than it looks, trying to look all effortless and sultry. I took like a hundred photos, no joke. And let me tell you, holding those poses is a workout!
- Tried to copy Bella’s poses.
- Took lots of photos.
- Deleted like, half of them immediately, haha.
The Results
Okay, so, I’m no Bella Hadid, obviously. But it was actually kind of fun. Some of the photos turned out pretty decent, I guess. Definitely not sharing those, though, haha. They’re for my eyes only! It’s like a fun experiment to show how fashion photography is so much more than you see.
But yeah, trying to recreate those Bella Hadid looks? Much harder than it looks. I have a newfound respect for the woman, seriously. How she does that at events and on runways, I’ll never know.
