Okay, so, I’ve been totally obsessed with Ariana Grande’s style lately, especially her shoes! I mean, the girl knows how to rock a pair of heels, right? So, I decided to do a little experiment and try to find and wear shoes inspired by her iconic looks.
First, I scoured the internet for pictures of Ari and her amazing shoe collection. I noticed she loves those super high over-the-knee boots, so that was my starting point. I found a few pictures of her wearing these amazing lace-up pumps that looked like they were inspired by ballet slippers. I read somewhere that they might be Louboutin’s, which, of course, are way out of my budget!
But I found a few online stores that sold similar-looking boots and pumps. I ordered a pair of black satin over-the-knee boots and some cute lace-up pumps that were kind of like the ones she wore. Oh, man, finding the right size was a bit of a hassle. You gotta check the CM column in the size chart, especially if you’ve got wider feet like me. I even learned some new sneaker terms while I was at it—who knew there were so many acronyms?
While I was waiting for my shoes to arrive, I dug a little deeper into Ariana’s background. Did you know she was on a Nickelodeon show called Victorious? She played this character named Cat Valentine and had to dye her hair red all the time, which apparently damaged it. Also, I realized she makes content that is really popular with teens and young adults, talking about relationships and self-love and stuff.
Anyway, when the shoes finally arrived, I was so excited! I tried them on with a few different outfits. I paired the over-the-knee boots with a mini dress, just like Ari often does. Let me tell you, I felt so glamorous, even though I was just walking around my apartment. I practiced walking in them, trying to channel my inner pop star.
The lace-up pumps were super cute too, but definitely more challenging to walk in. I definitely wobbled a bit at first, but I think I got the hang of it. I imagined myself at an Ariana Grande concert, dancing along to her music. It was so much fun!

- Over-the-knee boots: Super stylish and surprisingly comfortable. I felt like a total diva!
- Lace-up pumps: Gorgeous but require some practice to walk in gracefully. I felt like i was learning ballet, haha.
- Overall: It was a blast trying to emulate Ariana’s shoe style. I might not have her budget or her amazing voice, but I definitely had fun pretending for a little while!
This whole experience really made me appreciate how much thought goes into a celebrity’s look. It’s not just about the clothes, but the shoes, the hair, everything! And it gave me a new appreciation for Ariana Grande’s style. She’s definitely a fashion icon in my book!
