Okay, so I’ve been seeing animal print everywhere lately, and I finally decided to give it a try myself. I wasn’t sure where to start, honestly, so I just went for it!

Getting Started
First, I grabbed some plain white fabric. I figured white would be the easiest to work with, and it would really make the print pop. I didn’t have a specific pattern in mind, I just knew I wanted something, well, animal-y.
The Messy Part
- I laid out the fabric on a big sheet of plastic. Gotta protect the table, right?
- Then, I took some black fabric paint and…well, I just started dabbing. Seriously, no fancy techniques here. I just dipped a sponge in the paint and went wild.
- I tried to make it look kind of like leopard spots, but honestly, it was more like abstract blobs.
- I may add some brown color later.
The (Slightly) Controlled Chaos
After the black paint was down, I let it dry for a bit. Then,I can added some brown color if i want.
Then,I thought, “Okay, maybe I can make this look a little more intentional.” So I took a smaller brush and added some smaller dots and squiggles around the bigger blobs. It still looked pretty messy, but in a fun way, I think.
The Final Result (For Now!)
I let the whole thing dry completely, and…I actually kind of like it! It’s definitely not perfect, but it’s got this cool, raw vibe.

It’s super unique, and I can’t wait to turn it into something, maybe a tote bag or some pillowcases. Or maybe just frame it and call it art! Who knows?
The best part is, it was so easy! No complicated steps, no special tools, just some fabric, paint, and a willingness to get a little messy. I am not sure whether I will add some details.
If you’re looking for a fun, quick project, I definitely recommend giving this a try!
