Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “monochrome outfit” trend everywhere, and I finally decided to give it a try. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little intimidated at first. I mean, wearing just one color? Sounds kinda boring, right? But I was totally wrong!

First, I picked my color. I went with gray because, well, I have a lot of gray clothes. It seemed like the easiest option for a beginner like me.
My Monochrome Experiment
Then, I started digging through my closet. I pulled out everything gray I could find: sweaters, t-shirts, jeans, even socks!
- A chunky gray knit sweater
- A light gray t-shirt
- Dark gray skinny jeans
- Gray ankle socks
- Even a gray beanie!
Next, I started playing around with different combinations. I tried the sweater with the jeans, then the t-shirt with a gray skirt I forgot I owned. It was actually kind of fun, like putting together a puzzle.
I realized the key is to mix different textures and shades of the color. The chunky knit sweater added a lot of dimension against the smooth denim of the jeans. The light gray t-shirt under the sweater gave it a layered look.
Finally, I added some accessories. I kept it simple with a silver necklace and some plain white sneakers. I even found a gray scarf that matched perfectly!

Honestly, I was surprised by how much I liked the final result. It looked way more stylish and put-together than I expected. It felt…effortless, you know? Like I didn’t even try, but I still looked good.
I am so glad that I did a monochrome outfit!
