Okay, so I got this wild idea the other day, all about Elvis and his Cadillacs. I mean, the King and those gorgeous cars, it’s just iconic, right? So, I decided to dive in and make something with that theme, a project I just called “elvis cadillac”.
First, I did some digging. I needed to know which Cadillac was the Elvis Cadillac. Turns out, it’s the Fleetwood 60 Special. And get this, he loved it so much, he actually bought it twice! Makes sense, it’s a beauty.
My little “elvis cadillac” adventure
My plan was simple. Find great photos, and information, all of that stuff. I started, naturally, with the color. Pink, of course! Elvis’s Fleetwood was famously pink, so that was my starting point.
Then, I went on a hunt for good reference images.I needed good shots of the car from all angles. Gotta get those curves and chrome details just right, you know?
After I got those images, I * took a while, tweaking and adjusting, and making a bunch of mistakes along the way.I mean, I’m no expert, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.
