Okay, so today I messed around with “astrid hannah.” Gotta be honest, I’d never heard of it before, but I was feeling adventurous.
First thing I did was, well, look it up. Just a quick search to get a feel for what it even is. Turns out, its some kind of a design I found it in pintrest!
Digging In
Once I had a super basic idea, I started playing around. My process is pretty messy, to be honest. Lots of trial and error. I started by Sketching it on paper!
- First, I sketch many type of design!
- Then, I try to draw in a sketchbook.
- It’s all about experimenting, seeing what sticks.
After I felt I had a better idea, I start drawing in a canvas that I prepared, It’s pretty satisfying, but I still got a long way to go.
Getting a Little Stuck (and Unstuck)
There were a few moments where I just felt totally lost. Like, “what am I even doing?” moments. When that happened, I usually just step away for a bit. Grab a coffee, clear my head. Sometimes, just looking at it with fresh eyes helps a ton.
And hey, sometimes things just don’t work out. And that’s okay! It’s all part of the process. I just scrap it and start over, or try a completely different angle.
After hours of drawing, I began to feel satisfied. I was very happy with how it turned out. And with my new artwork, I felt very happy. Even I am amazed by my own work. I did not expect to be this good!
So, that was my “astrid hannah” adventure for the day. Definitely a fun little experiment. Might try it again sometime, who knows!
