Been thinking about doing this Taylor Swift red carpet compilation for weeks now, you know? Always too busy. Today was the day though. Got my coffee, fired up the computer, ready to dive in.
Step one was obvious: gathering the photos. Figured Google Images was my best bet. Typed in “Taylor Swift red carpet black dress”. Whoa. Overwhelmed instantly. Hundreds, maybe thousands of pictures. Seriously, she’s been on that carpet so many times! Started scrolling. And scrolling. Clicking. Dragging promising shots into a folder on my desktop called “TS BLACK”. My mouse finger started cramping up fast.
The Problem? Too Much Good Stuff.
Filled that folder way too quick. Realized I had maybe 20 shots, all amazing, all different events. My “Top Appearances” list was gonna be huge and messy if I didn’t cut down. This is where it got tough. Had to make choices, cut some real gems. Felt bad dropping the 2016 Met Gala look, but something had to give. Decided to focus only on the best of the best black dresses – the ones that really made people gasp. Narrowed it down:
- The Showstopper: That 2020 Golden Globes look? Pure velvet magic. Neckline? Perfect.
- The Classic: Remember the Grammys a few years back? Simple black. Timeless.
- The Edgy One: That Met Gala number with the sheer panels? Yeah, had to include that.
- The Goddess: The one with the high slit and sparkling details? Speechless.
Then disaster. My browser decided to freeze. Completely locked up. Lost about 5 minutes of work finding links again. Panic started to set in. Deep breaths. Restarted Chrome. Thankfully, some stuff was still in my downloads folder. Had to re-download a couple of pics, though. So annoying.
Putting It All Together
Finally had my five chosen looks saved nice and neat. Now for the post. Opened my blog editor. Felt proud plopping those pictures in one by one. Tried to write a bit under each one about why it stood out to me. Not just “She looks pretty” but what made that specific moment special – the dress details, the confidence vibes, maybe the event it was for. Writing descriptions took longer than I thought! Kept second-guessing my wording. Did a little victory dance when I finally hit “Schedule Post”.
Should have been done, right? Nope. Realized halfway through eating lunch I forgot to credit the main photographers. Ran back to the computer. Had to search again for photo credits. Getty Images, AP… jotted those down quick before I lost track again. Added tiny credits below each image. Phew. Finally, actually hit “Schedule Post” again.
End Result? It’s up! Took way longer than my two coffee cups could handle, and my eyes feel a bit fried from all that scrolling. But honestly? It’s awesome seeing all those iconic black looks together in one place. Totally worth the struggle. Think my wife might kill me if I don’t cook dinner now though. Gotta go!
