Okay, so I saw this picture of Selena Gomez in a white dress, and I just had to try and recreate the look. It looked so effortlessly chic and perfect for summer. So, here’s how my little fashion adventure went.
The Hunt Begins
First things first, I needed to find a similar dress. The one Selena was wearing looked like a simple, flowy, white mini dress. I scoured my closet first, obviously. No luck. All my white dresses were either too formal or too… not Selena.
So, I hit the stores. I think I tried on like, a million dresses. Some were too short, some were too long, some had weird ruffles…it was a struggle! It is not easy to find out my style!
The Dress Debacle
Finally,I found one and thought “Okay, this is pretty close.” It was a similar shape, nice and flowy, and the right length.
- It made of cotton!
- So white!
- A little bit transparent maybe!
Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize!
Now, for the fun part – accessories! In the picture, Selena’s rocking some simple gold jewelry and natural-looking makeup.
I already have a bunch of gold necklaces and rings, so I put on a couple that I thought looked good.
I also already done my basic makeup routine, keep the makeup look simple and bronze.
The Final Verdict
Okay, so did I look exactly like Selena Gomez? Nope. Did I feel cute and summery in my white dress? Absolutely!
It was a fun little experiment, and it definitely got me out of my fashion comfort zone. I might even wear this outfit for a real date, hah!
