So I saw this IG post about the Dior pop-up in the Riviera looking crazy beautiful. Blue umbrellas, fancy drinks – whole beach vacation vibe. Problem? Zero clues where it actually was. Just “Saint-Tropez area.” Like bruh, Mediterranean coast ain’t small.
First thing I did was hop onto Twitter. Searched “Dior Riviera location” and filtered for latest tweets. Scrolled past 20 thirst traps of influencers posing before finding one actually helpful reply: “Right by Plage des Canoubiers near some old villas.” Okay, progress!
Then I double-checked Dior’s IG stories. Still no pin drop, BUT their background showed specific yellow-striped cabanas in one shot. Went straight to Google Maps street view for Plage des Canoubiers. Spent like 20 mins virtually scanning that coastline till—boom! Yellow stripes matched near Cheval Blanc hotel.
Getting There Was Half The Battle
Got my little rental car overheating up the mountain roads. Signage? Practically invisible if you blink. Missed the turn twice and had to reverse on a narrow road with angry scooters honking. My advice:
- Watch for the tiny beige flags – looks like desert camo against dirt
- Park downhill near the public lot unless you fancy hiking in sun
- Go before noon or expect tourist herds blocking photo ops
Place itself? Honestly, smelled amazing – like expensive lemons? Staff handed out icy mint lemonade while I took pics of the rattan installations. Peeked inside the boutique area (no photos allowed, sadly). Whole setup felt like Dior threw a beach party with unlimited budget.
Biggest surprise was the hidden walkway behind the main tent. Found the branded paddleboards and surfboards display perfectly angled for yacht photos. Smart placement – everyone leaving ended up passing through.
Totally worth the sweat and GPS cussfest. Hot tip though: wear stupidly comfortable sandals. Rocks+heat=danger zone for feet.
