Well, well, well, let me tell you, I hear some Hermes news, that fancy name, you know. What is all this Hermes talk? Hermes this, Hermes that, all the time!
That Hermes, it’s always something new, ain’t it? Like them fancy bags. They got new ones, I hear. Six new handbags for this cold time, Fall and Winter, they call it. Six! Who needs six new bags? One good bag is all you need. I got my old one, it works just fine.
And the prices, oh the prices! They just go up and up. They say Hermes Price Increase 2023. Everything gets more money these days. Back in my day, you could get a good bag for… well, never you mind. It was cheaper, that’s all I gotta say.
They got this new thing, the Hermes Kelly Messenger Bag. What’s a messenger bag? Is that for sending letters? We used to just walk over to folks’ houses to deliver messages. No need for a fancy bag. This bag is all new. What is the price?

And they got alerts now, Hermes Restock Alerts. Like a little bird chirping in your ear when they get new bags. They send you those email things. I don’t understand those email things, but the young folks, they love ’em. They tell you when the bags are back on that website, , they call it. My granddaughter, she’s always on that thing, looking at them expensive bags.
Fall 2022, they had more bags. Hermes new bag options. Top handle bags, shoulder bags, like you have two hands and two shoulders. I always carried my bag on my arm. Worked just fine. Why so many bags? Don’t people have enough bags already?
They got more than just bags, that Hermes. They got this Apple Watch Hermes, Series 7, whatever that means. My old watch tells the time just fine, don’t need no Apple on it. Then they got nail polish, Nail Enamels. Fancy word for nail paint. I used to paint my nails with… well, never you mind what I used. It was colorful, that’s all I gotta say.
And these days, everyone’s getting fake messages, they say. Fake delivery texts, they call ’em. Three out of five people, that’s a lot of folks! They say it’s the latest breaking news. Back in my day, news was what the neighbor told you over the fence. And those messages, you don’t believe them. If you are not sure, you should ask your kids. Don’t fall for those fake words!
They got some new smell-good now, too. Hermes H24 Herbes Vives, that’s a mouthful. Eau de Parfum, that’s French for fancy water, I reckon. $155, they say! For some smelly water! I used to just splash on some… well, never you mind. It smelled good, and it didn’t cost no $155. I think it is too expensive.
Hermes, they’re always up to something, 2021, 2022, always new stuff coming out. They’re always changing, always got something new. It’s all a bit much for me. I can’t understand what is that, but it sounds expensive. And that Hermes 3, they say it’s big news. Hermes 3 is a big deal, I heard. Hermes 3, they say it’s for learning, for teaching. Like a school in a box. Well, back in my day, we had real schools, with real teachers. Don’t need no fancy box to teach you things. It’s all too much to me. I don’t understand those fancy things.
All this Hermes news, it’s a lot to take in. New bags, new prices, new smells, new gadgets. It’s a different world these days, that’s for sure. They always have new things. I think maybe I’ll just stick to my old ways. They worked just fine for me.
