Alright, so folks have been poking around, asking about “miu & co”. What’s the story there? Well, let me lay it out for you. It’s not some fancy, big-shot operation. Nah. It’s pretty much my little project, something I’ve been tinkering with, learning as I go, you know?

How This Whole ‘Miu & Co’ Thing Kicked Off
It didn’t start with a bang or some genius master plan. Seriously, it was more like a slow burn. I was making a few bits and pieces, just stuff I enjoyed crafting. Then, you get your mates saying, “Hey, you could actually sell this stuff!” You kinda laugh it off at first, right?
But that little idea just wouldn’t bugger off. It kept nagging at me. So, I figured, “Alright, what the heck, let’s give it a crack.” Famous last words, as they say. I had no clue what I was really getting into.
The Real Grind: Getting Down to Brass Tacks
First things first, I had to actually nail down what “miu & co” was even going to be. Was it just a jumble of random things I made? Or should it have some kind of focus? I wasted a good chunk of time just mulling that over. And then, materials. Oh, man, don’t even get me started on trying to find good materials.
- Trying to find suppliers who weren’t charging an arm and a leg? That was a mission.
- And getting decent quality without having to buy enough to fill a warehouse? Good luck with that.
- Then you finally find something decent, and bam, next time you go to order, it’s gone. Discontinued. Typical.
The actual making? That was the part I liked, mostly. But trying to go from just a hobby to something that could even pretend to be a ‘co’ – even a tiny one-person show like mine – meant I needed some kind of system. And let me tell you, I am not a systems person. I just wanted to create things! But no, I had to get my head around tracking what I was making, what was selling, what bits and bobs I was running low on. Honestly, it was a proper pain in the backside.
The ‘Co’ Bit: Actually Trying to Sell Stuff
And then there’s the “co” part – the company bit. Even if it’s just you, you gotta try and act like a proper business, just a little. Selling the stuff, that was a whole other can of worms. I’m no smooth-talking salesperson, that’s for sure. Getting things listed online, trying to take photos that didn’t look like they were shot in a dungeon, figuring out postage… ugh, postage. The cost of it, and then trying to pack things so they didn’t arrive looking like they’d been used as a football.

I still remember my first online sale. I was over the moon! Then immediately bricking it that I’d mess something up. I packed that thing like it was the Queen’s jewels. Probably spent more on bubble wrap than I made on the item itself, no joke.
So, Where’s It At Now?
“miu & co” is still puttering along. It’s not exactly making me rich, not even close. But it’s something I cobbled together myself. I’ve learned a massive amount, mainly by falling flat on my face and having to pick myself up again. You just figure stuff out, you change things, you keep plugging away. It’s a slog, yeah, but it’s my slog. And when someone actually likes something I made? That’s pretty decent, I won’t lie. Still mostly a one-man band, but adding the ‘& co’ makes it sound a bit more official, doesn’t it?
