Fall 2014 Style Guide: The Ultimate Throwback Fashion Review

Okay, so “fall 2014” – sounds kinda vague, right? But for me, it was a pretty big deal. I remember I was messing around with… well, a lot of things. I was trying to get a handle on, like, everything at once. It was nuts.

Fall 2014 Style Guide: The Ultimate Throwback Fashion Review

First, I dove headfirst into trying to organize my digital life. I had files scattered everywhere – my desktop, random folders, external hard drives…it was a disaster. So I started by just gathering everything. I literally dragged and dropped files from every corner of my computer into one big, messy folder. I called it “The Abyss” – seemed fitting.

Sorting The Chaos

  • Created folders. Basic stuff, like “Work,” “Personal,” “Photos,” “Music,” “Random Crap.” You get the idea.
  • Started sorting. This took forever. I’d open a file, try to remember what it was, and then dump it into the appropriate folder.
  • Gave up trying to find files.
  • Deleted a bunch of stuff. Old school projects, blurry photos, music I hadn’t listened to in years… gone. Felt good, actually.

Then, I decided I needed a better way to keep track of my to-do list. I’d been using sticky notes, but they were everywhere. On my monitor, my desk, even stuck to my fridge. Super helpful, I know.

So,I used a simple notebook, I downloaded it, installed it, and… stared at it. I had no idea how to actually use it. There were so many features, so many options… it was overwhelming. Eventually, I figured out the basics – creating lists, adding tasks, setting deadlines. It wasn’t perfect, but it was better than the sticky note apocalypse.

Trying and Failing to “Get Fit”

It wasn’t just digital stuff,I tried to get more organized, I also decided to “get fit.” I found a workout plan online.I downloaded the PDF, printed it out, and… promptly ignored it for a week. Finally, I forced myself to do the first workout. It was awful. I was sore for days. I stuck with it for a couple of weeks, then… life happened. I got busy, I got lazy, and the workout plan ended up buried under a pile of papers. Classic.

Looking back, fall 2014 was a mess. I tried a bunch of things, failed at most of them, but I guess I learned… something? Mostly, I learned that I’m really good at starting things and really bad at finishing them. But hey, at least I tried, right? And my digital files were slightly less chaotic. So, that’s a win, I guess.
