Okay, so I’ve been meaning to recreate that iconic 90s look – you know, the Kate Moss Calvin Klein ads. Super simple, super chic. I wanted to see if I could pull it off and maybe inspire some of you guys to try it too.

First, I gathered some inspiration. I spent, like, an hour just scrolling through Pinterest and Google Images. I saved a bunch of photos of Kate Moss from that era, focusing on the ones with the really minimalist vibe.
Getting the Look
Next, I dug through my closet. I was looking for these key pieces:
- A plain white tank top. Nothing fancy, just a basic, fitted one.
- Some straight-leg, light-wash jeans. I didn’t want anything too distressed or with any crazy details.
- Maybe a simple black belt. But I wasn’t 100% sure about that yet.
- A pair of plain black boxer,Or a white one.
I found a tank top that worked pretty well, and a pair of jeans that were close enough. I decided to skip the belt for now – I wanted to keep it as minimal as possible.
Then came the slightly tricky part: the hair and makeup. I watched a couple of YouTube tutorials on “no-makeup makeup” looks. The key seemed to be to look like you’re wearing almost nothing, but still have a bit of definition.
I used a tinted moisturizer, a little bit of concealer under my eyes, and a touch of mascara. I brushed my eyebrows and added a tiny bit of clear lip balm. For my hair, I just let it air dry and tousled it a bit with my fingers to get that slightly messy, “I woke up like this” vibe.

Finally, I put everything on and took some photos. Honestly, it felt super comfortable and effortlessly cool. I can see why this look was so popular! It’s amazing that just make myself a modal.
I experimented with a few different poses, trying to channel that Kate Moss attitude. It’s all about looking relaxed and confident.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! It’s a super easy look to recreate, and it’s perfect for those days when you want to feel stylish but don’t want to put in a ton of effort. Give it a try and see what you think!
