Okay, so I’ve been wanting to try out this 70s-inspired makeup look for a while now, and I finally went for it! I’m talking about that iconic, free-spirited, slightly-rebellious look, you know?

First, I prepped my skin. I used a good moisturizer because, let’s be real, good makeup starts with a good base. I mean the skin must be very clean and smooth, right?

Then, I applied a light, dewy foundation. I didn’t want anything too heavy or cakey – the 70s were all about that natural glow, so I even mixed a little bit of liquid highlighter into my foundation to get that extra bit of luminosity. I used my fingers to really work it into my skin, I think it gives a more natural finish that way.

Eyes and Cheeks

For the eyes, I went for a shimmery, bronze eyeshadow. I swept that all over my lids, blending it upwards and outwards. I didn’t use any harsh lines, just a soft, diffused look. And, of course, lots and lots of mascara! I layered it on, top and bottom lashes, to really make my eyes pop.

  • Apply dewy foundation
  • Choose shimmery, bronze eyeshadow
  • Apply lots of mascara

Next, I grabbed my blush. A peachy-pink shade – super important for that healthy, flushed look. I applied it to the apples of my cheeks, blending it upwards towards my temples. I also added a touch of the same blush to the bridge of my nose, just to give that sun-kissed vibe.

Lips Finish

Finally, the lips! I opted for a glossy, nude lipstick. Nothing too bold or bright, just a subtle, natural color that enhanced my lips without overpowering the rest of the look. I added a little bit of clear gloss on top for extra shine, cause it’s all about glowy!

And that’s it! I felt so groovy and confident with this 70’s woman style. It’s surprisingly easy to recreate, and it’s such a fun, flattering look. I think this may be a regular go-to. I am very happy I tried and made it!
