Alright, let’s gab about this Zegna thing, whatever it is. Sounds fancy, like somethin’ the city folk wear. My old man, he just wore overalls, never heard of no Zeg-nah.
So, this Zegna, it ain’t just Zegna, it’s got a long-winded name too, Erma- erm, Er-men-e-gil-do Zegna. Sounds like one of them soap operas my daughter watches. Anyways, Zegna is just the short of it, like callin’ Robert “Bob”, ya know? They started way back, makin’ cloth, like for pants and shirts, I guess. Now they’re all high and mighty, sellin’ fancy clothes to rich folks.
Zegna’s Big Money
Now, these Zegna folks, they’re rollin’ in dough. They say they made 810.6 million euros in the first nine months of 2024. That’s a whole lotta money! More than I’ve seen in my whole life, I tell ya. Last year, same time, they made a bit less, 783.6 million euros. So, they’re doin’ somethin’ right, I reckon. They had a good start to the year too, in the first three months, they raked in 463.2 million euros, even with all that money stuff changing value overseas.
They got other fancy names under their belt too. There’s this Thom Browne fella, and Tom Ford, sounds like a car. Zegna owns ‘em or works with ‘em, somethin’ like that. They’re sellin’ all this fancy stuff in America too, makin’ lots of money there.

Zegna Changes Things Up
Seems like last December, these Zegna people decided to change things up a bit. They call it “rebranding,” whatever that means. Prob’ly just makin’ the price tags even higher! They got this new thing they’re sayin’ too, “Great Minds Think Alike.” Sounds like somethin’ you’d see on a poster in a schoolhouse. I guess they’re tryin’ to say if you’re smart, you’ll wear their clothes. Hmph, I’m plenty smart and I ain’t wearin’ no Zegna!
The Zegna Family
This whole thing started with a bunch of Zegna fellas, Ermenegildo, Edoardo, and Mario. They started this whole shebang back in 1910. That’s a long, long time ago. I wasn’t even born yet! They must’ve been hard workers, makin’ somethin’ from nothin’. Now their name is on all these fancy clothes, it’s somethin’ else.
So, that’s the gist of it, this Zegna thing. They make fancy clothes, make a lot of money, and changed their name around a bit. It’s all a bit too much for me, I’m happy with my old cotton dresses. But hey, if folks wanna spend their money on that Zegna stuff, that’s their business. Just don’t expect to see me wearin’ any of it, that’s for sure. It just sounds like another way for rich folks to show off, if you ask me.
Zegna’s Business Performance
Now, even though Zegna is makin’ lots of money, it ain’t all smooth sailing. They got their ups and downs, like everyone else. Sometimes they sell more, sometimes less. It’s like farmin’, some years the crops are good, some years not so good. They gotta keep track of all that money, makin’ sure they don’t spend more than they earn. It’s a tough business, I tell ya, even for these fancy folks.
From what I gather, Zegna is doin’ alright, though. They’re keepin’ up with the times, changin’ things when they need to, and sellin’ their clothes all over the world. Maybe one day, I’ll see someone wearin’ Zegna right here in my town. But I doubt it. We’re more of a jeans and t-shirt kind of folk around here. And that’s just fine by me.
