Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here Triumph Motor Company electric car thing. I heard folks talkin’ ’bout it down at the market, you know, where Bessie sells them turnips. Anyways, they say this company, Triumph, they used to make cars a long, long time ago. Like, way before your fancy smartphones and whatnot.
Seems like they made some real fast cars, sporty ones, they called ’em. Folks liked ’em a whole lot, or so I hear. But then, poof! They stopped makin’ ’em. Just like that. Hauled off somewhere and nobody heard much from ’em for a good long while. Forty years, they say! That’s a heap of time, I tell ya. Longer than it takes for a good hickory tree to grow tall.
- They was gone a long time.
- Nobody knew where they went.
- Now they’re back, kinda.
Now, here’s the kicker. They’re back, but not with them gas-guzzlin’ cars like before. Nope, they’re makin’ an electric car now. A whatchamacallit… concept car. The TR25, they call it. Sounds fancy, don’t it? I reckon it’s still gonna be fast, though. Triumph always made fast cars, even if they did disappear for a while.
I ain’t too sure what all this “electric” business is about, mind you. Sounds like it runs on somethin’ other than gas, like magic or somethin’. But the folks at the market, they were sayin’ it’s the future. Said somethin’ ’bout savin’ the planet and not breathin’ in all that smoky stuff. Well, I reckon clean air is a good thing. Makes for better breathin’ when you’re hoein’ the garden, that’s for sure.
This new car, the TR25, it ain’t even a real car yet, see? It’s just a… a picture, kinda. A model, maybe. They gotta build it and see if it works right, I guess. And then they gotta figure out how much it’ll cost. Probably cost more than my whole farm, if I had to guess. Them fancy cars always do.
Now, some other company, BMW, they own the name, Triumph, or somethin’ like that. Sounds complicated, like them legal papers my nephew Harold was always readin’. But seems like this BMW fella, he’s lettin’ Triumph make cars again. Maybe he just likes fast cars too, who knows?
And then there’s another company, AAR, they bought some part of Triumph, the part that fixes cars, I think. Keeps ’em runnin’ good. See, it’s all a big tangled mess, like a ball of yarn my cat got ahold of. But the important thing is, they’re talkin’ ’bout Triumph makin’ cars again, and that’s somethin’.
Electric cars, huh? I reckon things are changin’. Maybe one day, I’ll be seein’ these electric cars zoomin’ down the road instead of them noisy old trucks. Maybe they’ll even make an electric tractor, so I don’t have to breathe in all them fumes. A fella can dream, can’t he?
So, that’s what I know ’bout this Triumph electric car. Not a whole lot, I admit. But enough to know it’s a big deal, seems like. And if it’s good for the planet and gets me around faster than my old mule, well, I reckon that ain’t such a bad thing after all.
Folks keep askin’ me what I think. Well, I think if it works, it works. If it saves some money on gas, that’s even better, cause this old woman ain’t got money to throw around like some folks in town. We’ll see, I say. We’ll just have to wait and see what comes of this here electric car from that Triumph company.
