So, the other day, I was digging around for some info on this guy, Scott Sternberg. You know, the fashion designer, photographer, that whole deal. Here’s how it all went down.
First, I fired up my browser and typed in “Scott Sternberg” into the search bar. Hit enter, and boom, tons of results. But I went straight for the Wikipedia page. Figured that’d be the best place to get a good overview.
The Early Days
Turns out, this Sternberg guy was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. Started his career in the film business way back in ’97. Worked as an assistant in the motion picture talent department. Basic stuff, you know?
School Stuff
Before all that, he went to Washington University in St. Louis. Got a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Summa Cum Laude, no less. Pretty impressive, huh?
Band of Outsiders
This is where things got interesting. In late 2003, Sternberg started this fashion brand called Band of Outsiders. Started with just men’s shirts and ties, but it blew up. Eventually, they were selling womenswear and accessories too. Got into 225 stores worldwide, including big names like Barneys and Bergdorf Goodman.
Entireworld
Then, in 2018, he launched another company, Entireworld. Known for bright, colorful basics, especially sweatsuits. Kind of a fun, optimistic vibe, you could say.
Behind the Lens
But Sternberg isn’t just about clothes. He’s also a photographer. Been shooting all the Polaroid campaigns for Band of Outsiders since 2005. They’re kind of playful and quirky. He also directed and filmed those Entireworld social media ads, the ones people call “cinematic adorable” and “bizarre.”
Awards and Recognition
And the guy’s gotten some recognition for his work. Won the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year in 2010, and the CFDA Swarovski Award for New Menswear Designer before that.
So yeah, that’s what I learned about Scott Sternberg. Started with a simple search, and ended up diving deep into his whole career. Pretty cool how much you can find out just by poking around online, right?
