Okay, so I heard about this case, the Burke Ramsey case, and I was like, “What’s that all about?” So I started digging into it. You know, just going down the internet rabbit hole. This whole thing is about JonBenét Ramsey’s death. And guess what? There is a new Netflix documentary about it. Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey or something.
It’s crazy. Burke Ramsey, that’s JonBenét’s brother, he’s 37 now. Can you believe it? He lives in Michigan, and I found out he works in tech management. Pretty normal stuff, right?
I did some searching and saw that Burke wouldn’t be part of the Netflix documentary. Probably wants to stay out of the spotlight, which makes sense given all the drama.
The search
Here’s where it gets really intense. I read that on the day they found JonBenét, a detective asked John Ramsey, the dad, and their friend Fleet White to search the house. They went to the basement, and John opened this door that a cop had missed earlier. And there she was, his daughter, in one of the rooms. I can’t even imagine what that must have been like for him.
The ransom note
Then there’s this ransom note. Apparently, it was super weird. According to Forensic Document Examiner Brenda Anderson, it was strange that the handwritings were so similar and from the same house. The whole tone of the note was off, too. I can’t even imagine what John Ramsey felt reading that note.
Family drama
There was some heat on Burke, who was only 9 at the time. I read online that John Ramsey totally shut down any talk that Burke had anything to do with it. I can’t imagine how that family felt after that day.
I got really into this whole case. Dug through a lot of articles and stuff. I spent hours reading about it. I watched some videos, too, trying to piece everything together.
