Okay, so I had this crazy idea to try and pull off a “white on white suit” look. I’d seen some pictures online, and it looked super cool, but I wasn’t sure if I could actually make it work in real life. I mean, it’s a bold move, right?
First, I dug through my closet. I already had a white linen suit that I’d worn to a summer wedding a few years back. It was a bit wrinkled, but nothing a good ironing couldn’t fix. The bigger problem was finding the right shirt and accessories.
- The Shirt Struggle: I initially thought a crisp white dress shirt would be the way to go. But when I tried it on, it just looked…blah. Like I was trying too hard to be a waiter or something.
- The Tie Dilemma:I went back and forth about weither I should wear a tie or * finally,I made my choice.
Experiment Time
So, I decided to experiment. I grabbed a few different white shirts – a textured linen one, a simple white t-shirt, and even a slightly off-white, almost cream-colored shirt. I laid them all out on my bed and started mixing and matching.
The textured linen shirt was a definite improvement over the dress shirt. It added some visual interest without being too distracting. The t-shirt was surprisingly good too – it gave the whole outfit a more casual, relaxed vibe. The off-white shirt was okay, but it felt a bit too safe.
Then I moved on to the Accessiories.I picked a white pocket square with a subtle pattern.I also try my white sneakers on.
The Final Result
After a lot of trial and error, I finally settled on a combination that I felt pretty good about: the white linen suit, the textured white linen shirt, and white sneakers. I skipped the tie altogether – it just felt too formal. and I also added the * was clean, simple, and surprisingly stylish.
I wore the outfit to a friend’s birthday party, and I actually got a few compliments! It was definitely a bit of a risk, but I’m glad I took it. It’s not something I’d wear every day, but it’s a fun look to have in my arsenal for special occasions.
