Okay, so you know I’m always messing around with new things, trying to figure stuff out. This time, I got hooked on trying to figure out who exactly plays the Coco Mademoiselle girl in those commercials. You know, the super chic, effortlessly cool one.
First thing I did, naturally, was hit up Google. Started with basic searches like “Coco Mademoiselle commercial actress” and “who is the face of Coco Mademoiselle?”. Got a ton of results, mostly pointing to Keira Knightley.
BUT here’s the thing: I wasn’t convinced it always looked like Keira Knightley. Some of the newer commercials, especially the really short ones you see on YouTube before videos, felt… different. Like maybe a stunt double or someone else entirely.
So, I dove deeper. I started looking at specific campaigns. Found a few websites dedicated to commercial actresses, but they weren’t always accurate. Some just repeated what everyone else was saying about Keira. I even checked IMDB, thinking maybe there would be a listing for the commercial somewhere, but no luck.
Then I had a thought: perfume blogs! You know, the ones where people review fragrances and talk about the advertising campaigns? Figured someone there might have some insider knowledge. Bingo! I found a few comments on different blogs speculating about other actresses potentially being used for shorter scenes or body doubles.
- The Aha Moment: I remembered seeing a “making of” video for one of the Coco Mademoiselle campaigns ages ago. I dug through YouTube, searching for “Coco Mademoiselle behind the scenes”. Finally found one! And what do you know, it showed Keira Knightley doing a lot of the scenes, but also mentioned the use of a body double for some of the more physically demanding shots.
It wasn’t a complete answer, like a confirmed name, but it confirmed my suspicion! They definitely used someone else for some of it. Whether it was just a double for running in heels or something more, I don’t know.
The Conclusion (Sort Of)
Ultimately, it’s still mostly Keira Knightley. But, my little investigation proved that there’s almost certainly a body double (or maybe even another actress) filling in for parts of the Coco Mademoiselle commercials. It’s not a HUGE revelation, but it satisfied my curiosity! Now I can sleep at night knowing I cracked part of the code. Maybe someday I’ll figure out who that actress is… the search continues!
