Okay, so I was digging around for some fashion inspiration, and I stumbled upon this “alexander mcqueen show 1998” thing. I’d heard of Alexander McQueen, of course, the name’s legendary, but I’d never really seen his older work. So, I decided to check this 1998 show out.

Diving In
First, I fired up my trusty search engine. Just typed in “alexander mcqueen show 1998” and hoped for the best. I got a bunch of results, some articles, some images… the usual.
Sifting Through the Results
I started clicking around. I skimmed through a few articles to get the context, you know, what the show was about, what people thought at the time. Then, the fun part started: images!
- I found some runway shots. Wow. Just… wow.
- The clothes were intense. Not like, everyday wear, obviously. More like art you could wear.
- I noticed a lot of dark colors, sharp lines, and kind of a gothic, almost scary vibe. Super interesting.
Getting Inspired
After looking at all those pictures, I started thinking about how I could use some of those ideas. I’m not about to go full-on McQueen, but maybe I could try a darker color palette, or find a piece with some interesting tailoring.
I saved a few of the photos to my mood board.
Making it My Own
Then,I started playing around with clothes.
I tried on some outfits, trying to see if I could capture any of that McQueen spirit, even just a little bit. I grabbed a black dress I have that’s kind of simple, but has a cool shape. I paired it with some chunky boots and a leather jacket. It felt… bolder. More dramatic.
It’s amazing how looking at something old, like a runway show from 1998, can still spark new *’s a good reminder to look beyond the usual trends and explore something different, even if it’s a little bit intimidating at first.
