Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot about this “Continuum Gym” thing and how it’s supposed to be super cool for working out. I figured, why not give it a shot? I’m always up for trying something new, especially if it might make exercise less…boring.

First thing I did was look it up, I mean, gotta know what I’m getting myself into, right? Found some stuff, watched a few videos. It looked pretty intense, but also kinda fun. Lots of bodyweight stuff, functional movements – all that jazz.
Getting Started
So, I decided to just jump in. No fancy plans, no strict schedules. I just cleared some space in my living room, because, you know, convenience is king. I started with the basics, some simple bodyweight exercises I remembered.
- Squats: Did a few sets of those, just to get the blood flowing. My legs were already feeling it, which is probably a sign I’m out of shape.
- Push-ups: Ugh, these are always tough. Managed a few, then had to take a break. Definitely need to work on these.
- Planks: Tried to hold it for as long as I could. My core was shaking like crazy!
My makeshift routine
After doing the basics, I wanted to try and make it a bit more continuum, I found some simple exercises and started moving.
- Bear crawls: Okay, these were actually kind of fun. Felt a bit silly at first, crawling around like a bear, but it definitely got my heart rate up.
- Crab walks: These were harder than they looked! My shoulders were burning, and my coordination was definitely challenged.
- I did some lundges, and some streches. I was trying to keep it flowy.
I just kept moving, trying to transition smoothly between exercises. It felt a bit awkward at first, like I was just flailing around. But after a while, I started to get into a rhythm. It was actually pretty cool, almost like dancing, but with more sweat.
The Aftermath
I probably only worked out for like, 20 minutes, but I was surprisingly tired. My muscles were definitely feeling it. I think the key is it is not only focus on a specific group of muscles, is the whole body moving!

I’m definitely going to keep trying this Continuum Gym thing. It’s a nice change of pace from my usual routine (or lack thereof). It’s convenient, I can do it at home, and it actually feels pretty good. Plus, it’s kind of fun to just move your body in different ways. It made me feel a little more fit without making me feel like I had to kill myself. It is not that bad!
