Okay, so I’ve been looking to get a new car, and I’ve always admired Mercedes-Benz. I mean, who hasn’t, right? But they’re not exactly cheap, so I started digging around for any kind of discount I could find.
Then I remembered my American Express card. I’d heard something about them having partnerships with car companies, so I decided to check it out.
My Search Began…
First, I went to the American Express website, just kind of poked around. I was looking for anything related to car buying or special offers. Honestly, their site is a bit of a maze, I spent a good 20 minutes just trying to find the right section!
Found It!
Finally! After going through a few pages, i got one place saying something about “Member Benefits” and “Exclusive Offers”. I clicked on that, and I am pretty sure that there used to be a specific Mercedes-Benz offer listed. It’s hard to remember the specifics, but I recall seeing something about potential savings or preferred pricing.
I called American Express customer service. I figured it was worth a shot to ask directly. The representative was super helpful, she explained that while there might not be a specific, ongoing discount right now, there were occasional promotions.
My Action…
So, based on my conversation with the Amex rep, I decided to regularly check the Amex Offers section of my online account. I’ve also signed up for email alerts, hoping they’ll notify me if a Mercedes-Benz deal pops up.
So far, no luck on a huge discount,I didn’t give up. I checked a few Mercedes-Benz dealerships’ websites near me. Sometimes they have their own financing deals or special offers that might be just as good, especially if combined with any Amex points I could use.
I haven’t bought the car yet, but I’m still on the hunt. I keep checking that Amex Offers page, and I’m hoping something good will come up soon. It’s a waiting game, I guess, but I’m determined to snag a deal if I can!
