Okay, so, I’ve been thinking a lot about updating my wardrobe for the fall, you know? The weather is getting cooler, and it’s time to pack away those summer clothes. I really wanted to be a bit more intentional with the colors I’m wearing this season.

First, I started browsing some fashion blogs and magazines online, just to get a sense of what’s trending. I saw a lot of the usual suspects, like burgundy and dark green, which are always safe bets. But, I also noticed some unexpected colors popping up, like a soft blush pink.
Then I decided to take a closer look at my current wardrobe. I pulled out all my fall clothes and sorted them by color. I realized I have tons of black and gray, which, don’t get me wrong, I love, but it can get a bit boring, right?
So, I made a list of the colors I wanted to add. I thought about what would complement what I already own and what would make me feel good. I ended up with:
- Chocolate Brown: It’s so rich and warm, perfect for fall.
- Oxblood: A deep, sophisticated red that adds a bit of drama.
- Mustard Yellow: Just a pop of brightness to balance out the darker tones.
- Olive Green: A classic fall color that’s super versatile.
- Blush Pink: I know, it’s a bit unusual, but I think it’ll add a nice soft touch to my outfits.
Next, I went shopping! I didn’t want to buy a whole new wardrobe, just a few key pieces to incorporate these colors. I found a gorgeous chocolate brown sweater, an oxblood-colored skirt, and a cozy olive green scarf. I even snagged a blush pink beanie! And I already have some mustard yellow pieces, so I’m good there.
Finally, I started playing around with different outfit combinations. It’s actually been pretty fun! I’m mixing and matching the new pieces with my existing clothes, and I’m really liking the results. I feel like my fall wardrobe is much more interesting and stylish now.

It’s amazing how just being a bit more mindful of the colors you wear can totally transform your look. I’m actually excited to get dressed every morning now, which is a nice change!
