Okay, so I’ve been meaning to dig into Sonam Kapoor’s filmography for a while now. Everyone talks about her fashion sense, but I was curious about her actual acting career. And I wanted to figure out what her biggest hit really was, you know?

So, I started by just listing out all her movies. Gosh, there are more than I thought! I even found out she started in the movie industry back in 2007, in a movie called ‘Saawariya’ with some guy named Ranbir. After making the list, I started looking up box office numbers and reviews for each one.
Here is what I found:
- ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ (2010): This one seemed pretty popular. It’s a romantic comedy, which is usually a safe bet.
- ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ (2013): Now this was a big one. It’s a biopic, and apparently, it did really well at the box office. She played a supporting role, but it was a major success.
- ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ (2015): Another huge hit! This was a romance, and she had the leading role. It’s one of those films that just raked in a ton of money.
- ‘Sanju’ (2018): Another biopic and another supporting role for Sonam. And yep, another massive success.
Then, I started stumbling upon some interesting tidbits about her personal life. Did you know she’s been living with Type-1 diabetes since she was 17? Crazy, right? She even talked about how she doesn’t fast during certain festivals because of her health. Also, I read some interview where she said she can’t be compared with Deepika, because one focuses on commercial roles and the other is not.
And then, there’s ‘Neerja’ (2016). This one’s a biographical thriller, and it seems like it was a turning point for her, at least in terms of critical acclaim. They even said it was a game changer for Indian cinema.
And ‘Raanjhanaa’ (2013). I watched some clips of it. The first half of the movie seemed nice, and people said it had nice dialogues.

After looking at all of this, it felt like her biggest commercial successes were ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, and ‘Sanju’. Those were definitely the ones that made the most money. I also found out that she decided to take a break from acting after her son was born.
So, there you have it. My deep dive into Sonam Kapoor’s biggest hit. It was a fun little research project!
