Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with Rihanna’s street style lately. Like, seriously obsessed. I decided I had to try and recreate some of her iconic looks, just for fun, you know?

The Hunt Begins
First things first, I spent hours, and I mean hours, scrolling through Pinterest and those celebrity gossip sites. I was looking for those classic Rihanna outfits – the ones that are kinda edgy, but still super chic. You know, the ones that make you think, “Only Rihanna could pull that off… but maybe I can too?”
Breaking it Down
I picked out three looks that I thought were achievable with stuff I either already had or could find without breaking the bank. We’re talking:
- Oversized hoodie with ripped jeans and killer heels.
- A slinky slip dress with a denim jacket and chunky sneakers.
- High-waisted trousers with a crop top and a statement coat.
The Shopping (and Scavenging)
This was the fun part! I already had a pretty good oversized hoodie and some ripped jeans. The heels were a bit of a splurge, but I found a decent pair that didn’t cost a fortune. I also scored a denim jacket at a vintage store – seriously, the best finds are always there!
For the slip dress, I actually found a pretty good dupe at one of those fast-fashion places. I know, I know, not the most sustainable, but hey, it was for the experiment! The chunky sneakers I already owned, thankfully. High-waisted trousers were a bit tricky, but I was found that on the Online shop.
Putting it All Together
Okay, so the actual styling was… interesting. It definitely took some trial and error. Like, that oversized hoodie? Turns out, there’s a fine line between “effortlessly cool” and “just rolled out of bed.” I played around with cuffing the sleeves, adding a belt, and even trying a half-tuck. The ripped jeans were easy enough, and the heels definitely elevated the whole look.
The slip dress and denim jacket combo was surprisingly easy to pull off. I think the key was the chunky sneakers – they kept it from looking too formal. The high-waisted trousers and crop top? That one was a bit more challenging. I realized I needed a really good statement coat to make it work. I borrowed a friend’s faux fur one, and it totally transformed the outfit.
The Verdict
Honestly? It was so much fun! I felt surprisingly confident rocking these outfits, even if they were a little outside my usual comfort zone. It’s definitely inspired me to be a bit more adventurous with my style. And hey, if I can channel even a tiny bit of Rihanna’s bad-gal energy, I’m happy!
Would I do it again? Absolutely! Maybe next time I’ll tackle her red-carpet looks… Wish me luck!
